  	PER Alison_Beckner Family have passed down that John's birth year is 1873 But it is interesting to note that John's birth year is listed differently on all but 2 of the census records. For the 1880 census his birth year is listed as 1873, but for the 1900 census: it is 1875, the 1910 census: 1872, the 1920 census: about 1870, the 1930 census: about 1870 and the 1940 census: 1871.The birth year on his death record and his headstone say his birth year is 1969. While the year is different on various records several state his birthday & month are the 4th of September. All the other info on a the census records match up , therefore I am confident that they are all the same person. While I don't disagree with Ms. Beckner at all, I doubt the date of birth for John was 1869 as that would make his father only 14 years old when John was born and John was the second child. The dates between 1870 and 1873 would be more likely, especially 1873.
