Notes - CHAPMAN, JOANN ADCOCK, 56, of Coalfield, died Monday, Sept. 1, 2003,at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Born Nov. 20, 1946, inCoalfield, she was the daughter of Blaine Adcock of Coalfield andLorene Justice Adcock, now deceased. Mrs. Chapman was a lifelongresident of Morgan County and was an employee of Red Cap Industriesfor 30 years. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, but attendedKellytown Baptist Church in Oliver Springs. In addition to her father,Mrs. Chapman is survived by her son, Sammy Joe Chapman Jr. of Jackson;her former husband, Sammy Joe Chapman Sr. of Stevens; four brothers,Sammy Adcock, Ross Adcock and wife, Shirley, Danny Adcock and wife,Louise, and Dale Adcock and wife, Laureen, all of Coalfield; and bytwo sisters, Linda Hensley and husband, Jimmy, of Harriman, and GailMassengill and husband, Gary, of Petros. The funeral will be at 8 p.m.Thursday, Sept. 4, 2003, in the chapel of Sharp Funeral Home in OliverSprings with the Rev. Mack Smith, the Rev. Garvan Walls and the Rev.Ronnie Crisp officiating. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m.Friday, Sept. 5, at Estes Cemetery in Coalfield. The family willreceive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. [OakRidger]
