He was a retired coal miner. He was preceded in death by; parents, Early and Irona Goad. Survivors include; wife, Geneva Byrd. Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 15 at Straight Fork Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Massengale and Rev. Jimmy Griffith officiating. Interment followed in Adkins Cemetery.
