  BURNETTE, FRED, 72, of Coalfield, died Thursday, Aug. 26, 2004. Born July 8, 1932, in Columbus, Ohio, he moved to Tennessee while still a baby and became a lifelong resident of Coalfield. He was a member of Meadow View Baptist Church. Mr. Burnette was a disabled veteran who served with the U.S. Army in 82nd Airborne Rangers. He enjoyed fishing and dirt-track racing.He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Willie Mae Rutherford Carson, and a son, Terry Wayne Burnette.Mr. Burnette is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nina Blankenship Burnette; five children, Judy Pratt and husband, Horace, of Clinton, Bobby Burnette and wife, Vicki, Greg Burnette and fiance
