- CROSS, MRS. CLARA ALMA, of the Stephens community went home to be with
the Lord on Saturday, June 6, 2009.She was of the Baptist faith. She was
preceded in death by her husband; Fletcher Cross, Son; Leon Cross,
Grandchildren; Tina Cross, Joseph Modic, Taylor Wolfenbarger, Parents;
Luther and Dora Dolly Roddy, brothers; Clarence and Bob Roddy, Sisters;
May Hines, Minnie Roberts, Lucy Abston and Kathleen Roddy.
She is survived by sons; Clarence William "Billy" Cross and wife Sue of the
Stephens community, Verlon Cross and wife Patsy of Louisiana. Daughters;
Audrey Modic and husband Fred of Arizona, Phyllis Swint and husband
Charles of the Joyner community and Clara Marie Walker. 17
Grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive Monday evening June 8, 2009 at Schubert Funeral Home
Wartburg, TN from 7-9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Tuesday 1:00 p.m.
in the chapel of Schubert Funeral Home with Bro. David Dial officiating.
Interment will follow in Estes Cemetery, Coalfield, Tennessee
