      Mrs. Cole Of Oliver Springs Rites Held
      Funeral services for Mrs. Dixie Lee Owens Cole, 81, of Oliver Springswere held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Sharp Funeral Home chapel. TheRev. Lloyd Napier officiated and burial was in Davis Cemetery. Mrs.Cole, whose husband, Dan, died is Marchch, was a retired school teacher,having taught in Johnson and Morgan Counties. After she was married,she moved to Indianapolis, Ind.,with her husband, but they retured toOliver Springs a few years ago when he retired. About three or fourweeks ago she and her brother, Paul Owens of Oliver Springs, went toDayton to visit their sister, Mrs. Paul Allen. While there Mrs. Colebecame ill and was sent to Good Samaritan Hospital, where she diedSunday morning. She had been in ill health before going to Dayton. Shewas a member of Middle Creek Missionary Baptist Church. Her father wasthe late Rev. J. L. Owens, a missionary Baptist minister, who servedthe Farmers Grove Baptist Church on Clinton Rt.4 and other Clintonarea churches, among !
      others in his lifetime. In addition to her sister and brother, she issurvived by another brother, Charles Owens of Chevrolet, Ky., andanother sister, Mrs. Lonnie East of Oliver Springs.
